NON-CHROME BLACK CHROMATE

Traditional Black Chromates contain hexavalent chrome and silver nitrate, which make them unstable in ultraviolet sunlight and cause unwanted color changes.  Metalline Chemical Corporation manufactures two products that will blacken zinc without the use of hexavalent chrome or silver nitrate.

• BZ-89H is an easy to use powder mixed with water that will provide an attractive uniform black finish on pre-cleaned and activated zinc die castings, through an immersion chemical reaction.  BZ-89H will also provide the same attractive finish on activated zinc plated deposits.  The BZ-89H finish does require a final post dip, dependent on the corrosion resistant and torque tension requirements.
• ECLIPSE^® NCB is a liquid one component process that is easy to make up and easy to maintain.  Through an immersion chemical reaction, ECLIPSE^® NCB will provide an attractive uniform black finish on pre-cleaned and activated zinc die cast alloys and zinc plated deposits.  The ECLIPSE^® NCB finish may require a final post dip, depending on torque tension and corrosion resistant requirements.
