Chromates and Top Coats

Chromates are designed to provide a barrier between a metal substrate and the corrosive environment.  The level of protection depends primarily on the formulation of the chromate solution.  Metalline Corporation manufactures chromates for aluminum, copper alloys, cadmium and zinc.   

Chromate Top Coats and Sealers often contain organic and sililcated components and provide a barrier between a chromated surface and the corrosive environment.  Top Coats are typically specified when high Salt Spray Hours are required.  Metalline Corporation high protection non-chrome sealers will greatly enhance the corrosion resistance of chromated zinc and cadmium plated deposits.
