Aluminum De-Smutters / Deoxidizers

Metalline Corporation manufactures several deoxidizer formulations for the de-smutting of aluminum alloys. Listed below is a brief description of our three best selling products.

• MAROX™ A-800 is a liquid, acidic deoxidizer that is mixed with water to deoxidize and de-smut low copper, low silicon aluminum alloys. MAROX™ A-800 is typically used after a thorough rinse, following an alkaline etch, prior to chromating or anodizing.
• MAROX™ 997 is powdered, dry flake that is mixed with Nitric Acid and water to deoxidize and de-smut aluminum alloys, including those containing silicon. MAROX™ 997 is typically used after a thorough rinse following an alkaline etch, prior to chromating or anodizing.
