ACID INHIBITORS & ADDITIVES

Metalline Corporation manufactures acid inhibitors and detergent additives for use in Hydrochloric and Sulfuric acids. 

If oils are not removed from parts in a soak cleaner or electrocleaner, they will likely be carried down the line into critical finishing process tanks.  This may lead to inconsistent finishing, time consuming chemical treatment and costly rejects.  The addition of a Metalline Detergent Acid Additive, like the ones listed below, will provide one last station of cleaning and carbon scale removal prior to subsequent finishing operations.

• AMBIENOL^® C is a concentrated liquid detergent acid additive designed to attack strongly adherent surface layers of heat treat oxides and carbon weld scale.  AMBIENOL^® C inhibits iron build up in your acid, emulsifies residual oil being drug down the process line, and provides a controlled foam blanket to reduce fuming.  Made up at 1-2% by volume, AMBIENOL^® C is a cost effective way to extend acid life and reduce rejects related to improper cleaning and activation.  As a result of its impressive cleaning ability, AMBIENOL^® C has been written into the BOEING BAC 5625 specification regarding descaling and cleaning of ferrous alloys.
• REACID^® A is a concentrated liquid detergent acid additive designed to enhance cleaning and extend the life of conventional Hydrochloric or Sulfuric acid pickles by inhibiting iron build up.  Used at low concentrations, REACID^® A is a cost effective way to extend acid life and reduce rejects related to improper cleaning and activation.
